Great Bay Regional P.A.L.
Great Bay Regional P.A.L. is a community outreach program coordinated by officers of the Little Egg Harbor Police Department. Great Bay Regional P.A.L. organizes various community events with a focus on building relationships between our officers and the youth in our community. During the summer months when school is concluded, Great Bay Regional P.A.L. supplies a safe and supervised summer program for the youth in Little Egg Harbor, Tuckerton, Bass River and Eagleswood. These free programs includes basketball, fishing, martial arts and pickleball. These activities are made possible by the generous donations from local businesses, as well as the countless hours of service provided by our officers and volunteers.
Jr. Police Recruits
The Little Egg Harbor Junior Recruits are a community-based program for the youth in our community who are interested in careers in Law Enforcement. The Junior Recruits learn all aspects of policing through trainings, lectures, and hands on activities organized by our Officers, as well as volunteers and guests from other law enforcement institutions. They earn valuable hands-on experience by completing trainings and exercises that Officers complete in their professional careers. The Junior Recruits also participate in a variety or events in our community, including Coffee with a Cop, National Night Out, Shop with a Cop, and local food drives. They assist with traffic details, event planning and organization and become welcome faces with members of our community. The Junior Recruits attend field trips to various military and law enforcement institutions, offering a wide array of experiences which can translate to future career opportunities.
Little Egg Harbor Junior Recruit Mission Statement
The Little Egg Harbor Police Department and Great Bay Regional P.A.L. sponsor our Little Egg Harbor Junior Recruit program. This program takes pride in educating our youth and young leaders of tomorrow. It is our mission to reinforce these young individuals in a paramilitary setting with leadership skills, respect, and discipline that will help them achieve their future aspirations and goals in their law enforcement and military careers.

- Must be between the ages of 12-21
- Be of good moral character
- Have no arrest record
- Parent/Guardian approval
